Stand Tips

Setting Up. Wednesday 4th June is the day you should arrive to set up. We are opening the fair for exhibitors from 8 am until 7 pm, come on Wednesday to set up you stand. ( If you think you will need more time, i.e. you would like to start setting up on Tuesday, please inform the organizers). For the event schedule, have a look at the what's on page.

General tips. The stands are under a tent, just a fly sheet over your head and sides, you will need to make your own partitions. You could hang up material or and suspend boards on the poles of the tent. Buy plenty of colourful material or and Hessian (just a cloth like sacking material), chipboard or sort board for displays etc. A must is string and Scissors.

Plants and Mats etc. This year their will be plants for hire at the exhibitors entrance and local mats, makuti, bamboo and other helpful decorating pieces for sale at Karibu fair.

Tables and Chairs, Do not forget to order them in advance.

Electricity, also order in advance, if you arrive and request electricity, it will take longer to be connected up.

Karibu fair tents This is what you will start with, a large white tent, a triple stand allows you the whole tent, a double, you will share it with one single and 3 singles will have you sharing the space with 3 other exhibitors.
Karibu fair tents Their are no partitions to split up you individual stands within the tent. You will have to provide your own partitions.

Tent with plant A stand that opened up the sides to allow more light, a plant at the entrance.
Bring your own tent Some exhibitors bring their own tents, carvings and all display in front of the stand. If you wish to bring your own tent, please inform the Karibu organization.

Decorated karibu tent A single stand that has hung it posters on the back wall, chairs and tables have been pre-booked and provided by Karibu. If you require chairs and tables, make sure you book them.
Decorated stand A single stand in the foreground and another single in the back ground. Local mats have been placed on the floor.
lodge ambience A well decorated tent can reproduce the look and feel of a high end lodge
