Your Stand Size:
The stand will be in a tent. If you are a single or a double stand, you will be sharing your tent. Triple booths will have their tents exclusively to themselves.
The tents will vary in size and shape. There are some that will be rectangular and others square.
As a guideline, most of the single booths will be approximately 2x8 meters, a double booth 4x8 meters and a triple booth will be 8x8 meters or above this number. There will be plenty of space and most of the tents will have protection on the sides. The tents vary in colour bit will be mostly white; some will have coloured stripes on them. They are erected with an external frame, so you will not have any poles in the middle of you booth. The tents are approximately 2 meters height on the side and 4 meters at the top.
What is supplied with a booth?
Unless you have requested the organizers to hire on your behalf items such a chairs and tables, you will have to provide all your own materials and furniture.
The floor of the booth is grass, there is no ground sheet supplied.
If you require any items for your booth, please inform the organizers by email.
Electricity
There is electricity available. It would help us if you could inform us by email before hand if you require electricity, please inform Victor at Karibu offices
The ground will have lighting 24 hours, depending on TANESCO.
Your personal touches
The tents will have sides to them, being open on the front and some will have canvas-partitioning screens. You will need to bring everything that you require to design your tent. Bring plenty material to hang up as partitions or to cover the existing partitions if you want. Pin boards are also a good idea, soft board or chipboard works, although soft board is easier. You can hang the boards or and pictures from the tent frame structure, so do not forget string or fishing line.
If you require a special tent for any reason, please inform the organizers.
The Venue.
The venue is past the Arusha airfield on the road to Dodoma, opposite ISM. This is about 10 minutes from town centre, and 3 minutes from the airfield. The field is a large open space with grass covering the ground.
Food & drinks
There will be 4 suppliers of food that will be serving snacks, sandwiches and BBQ's. The drinks will be supplied by Tanzania breweries and sodas by separate supplier.
Children
There will be bouncy castles and a sandpit for the kids with their own hot dog stand. There will also be other activities and games for kids to play arranged by Braeburn School.
Security
Security will be provided by KK Guards Ltd. They are also going to station a patrol vehicle on the site. We recommend however that you remove anything of value when you leave in the evening. In the past, participants have brought their own askari to look after their booth a night when they left many valuable items. This is not accepted by the organizers. Please contact KK Guards if you require your own personal security guard.
WE CANNOT HOWEVER ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR VALUABLES LEFT IN THE TENTS OVERNIGHT.
Services
There will be camping toilets provided.
There will be a bauser for water provided.
